RSC Announce Casting for The Comedy Of Errors

Casting details are announced for the Royal Shakespeare Company’s (RSC) 2021 summer outdoor production of  The Comedy of Errors  which runs between 13 July – 26 September in the  Lydia & Manfred Gorvy Garden Theatre  in Stratford-upon-Avon.  This specially constructed outdoor performance space is located in the Swan Theatre Gardens, flanked by the River Avon and overlooked by the Swan Theatre.   

Megan Mullally and Robert Lindsay to star in Anything Goes

One of the all-time greatest musicals ANYTHING GOES is making a welcome return to the London stage in spring and summer 2021 for a strictly limited 15 week engagement at the Barbican Theatre, starring Emmy & SAG Award Winner Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) who is making her West End musical debut as Reno Sweeney, and Tony, Olivier & BAFTA Award Winner Robert Lindsay as Moonface Martin. The Jamie Lloyd Company, the hugely successful partnership between the UK’s leading theatre company Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) and Artistic Director Jamie Lloyd , today announces Golden Globe and Olivier Award nominated James McAvoy is to lead the company of Edmond Rostand ’s Cyrano de Bergerac , freely adapted by Martin Crimp . The production marks the first in a new season directed by Jamie Lloyd at the Playhouse Theatre from November 2019 to August 2020. Further productions to be announced.

Initial Casting Announced for The Prince Of Egypt

THE PRINCE OF EGYPT , the brand-new stage musical with music and lyrics by  Stephen Schwartz  ( Wicked, Godspell ) and a book by  Philip LaZebnik  ( Mulan ,  Pocahontas ) and based on the celebrated DreamWorks Animation film, today announces initial casting for its West End premiere production.   Luke Brady  and  Liam Tamne  will lead the cast as ‘Moses’ and ‘Ramses’ respectively, with  Christine Allado  as ‘Tzipporah’ and  Alexia Khadime  as ‘Miriam’. Shakespeare’s Globe announces Summer Season 2019

Shakespeare’s Globe is delighted to announce the Summer Season 2019. Celebrating and interrogating our ‘sceptred isle’ through Shakespeare’s history plays, a year-long journey begins with Richard II, opening 22 February in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse , continuing into the Globe Theatre this summer with Henry IV Parts 1 and 2, and Henry V. The season also includes A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Ben Jonson’s Bartholomew Fair, and the return of 2018’s As You Like It. Robin Hood tales will form the core of the Read Not Dead series this year, and festivals throughout the summer include Women & Power and Poland is Hamlet. This year’s Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank production will be Romeo and Juliet, opening on 28 February, with 20,000 free tickets available to state secondary schools. The Shakespeare’s Globe Touring Ensemble will once again present a trio of plays for the audience to choose from: The Comedy of Errors, Pericles, and Twelfth Night.

Casting announced for the West End transfer of Laura Wade's Home, I'm Darling

As rehearsals begin, casting is announced for the West End transfer of the National Theatre and Theatr Clwyd’s critically acclaimed co-production of Home, I’m Darling , a new play by Laura Wade , directed by Theatre Clwyd Artistic Director Tamara Harvey , featuring Katherine Parkinson , which begins performances at the Duke of York’s Theatre on 26 January.

Finty Williams & Jasper Britton join the cast of Pack of Lies at the Menier Chocolate Factory

With Spamilton: An American Parody recently extending its run at the theatre, the Menier Chocolate Factory today announces initial casting for their major revival of Hugh Whitemore ’s Pack of Lies . Hannah Chissick directs Finty Williams as Barbara Jackson and Jasper Britton as Stewart. The production opens on 1 October, with previews from 20 September, and runs until 17 November. The full company will be announced shortly.
